I started my IT and InfoSec path back in 2004 when I created my first website, back then at first based on Dreamweaver and later via pure HTML and CSS. This first touchpoint in web development sparked my interest in the IT branche.
Then in 2006 I started an apprenticeship as a software developer at the German messaging service provider retarus GmbH where I learned more about software development, backend, IT infrastructure etc. and found my passion for IT.
In 2010 I went to the University for Applied Sciences in Munich to study Computer Sciences.
In the following years I went abroad to the US for half a year to run the IT and infrastructure services at a newly build office of the company I did my apprenticeship with. Their I was the main responsible IT manager for a team of three people and also acted as a Pre- and After-Sales Consultant for clients.
Back in Germany I worked for different companies in different market areas, from Aerospace and Applied Sciences (Airbus) to Car Manufacturer IT service providers (Gigatronik GmbH, now Akka GmbH).
After I finished my studies in Computer Sciences and Economics in 2015 I joined the IT-Consultancy BridgingIT GmbH where I basically founded and build the Information and Cyber Security service area.
In 2018 I joined Sky Deutschland GmbH as their Security Architect and soon became the Head of Security Architecture.
As I became more and more involved and focused in management and coaching work I accepted an offer from UniCredit Bank AG in 2020 to join them as their Deputy CISO and VP — Head of ICT & Information Security. Here I led a team of up to 15 people of many diverse backgrounds, providing full compliance and control on all Information and Cyber Security related topics for UniCredit Bank AG and their subsidiaries and foreign branches.
Now I am the Deputy Group CISO at N26 the most disruptive and valuable Neobank in Germany. Coming from the banking industry to such a modern and agile, Cloud native Fintech I provide thorough Security knowledge to ensure regulatory compliance for this ultra-modern tech stack and the way of working to ensure profound Security for all N26 customers' and employees' data.
